This morning, all I heard was, “Mom! Where are my Crocs? I can’t find any shoes to wear!” My kids only have 2 or 3 pairs of shoes at a time. They’re not only growing fast, but boys shoes are hard to find used and in good condition.
I try to buy shoes in larger sizes when I find them in good shape. Luckily this morning I had a pair waiting for this chaotic moment. A nice pair of boys New Balance shoes.
When the shopping challenge is over, I will still shop with my new criteria. Is it a need? Can I get it used? And plan ahead. But shoes for my kids might be a thing I buy new on occasion. They still don’t need lots of pairs of shoes, but when they come home from a trip with muddy shoes, they’ll have a back up pair.
