This was a photograph I made in art class about 8 years ago. This was taken with my Nikon 6006 film camera and processed in a darkroom at the school. The print is on matte paper, so the paper takes oil paint and colored pencil easily.
This dumpster was somewhere in McKinney. I attached picture frames to the front of the dumpster and shot it with Ilford 100 black & white film. Knowing someday I would want to paint it (yes, 8 years later), I developed it with a high contrast.
Since I’m learning how to use my colored pencils more effectively, I decided to make a stop motion video of the coloring process. I guess I need a tripod to do this with my phone, but it still works. :) Enjoy!
