Yes, we “colored” dinner. We used several colors of food coloring, some liquid, some paste. Each color was prepared in a separate bowl.
This wasn’t my first time doing this. Many years ago, a friend of mine was trying to install a car stereo. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the multitude of colored wire chaos that comes from one of these units, but it’s more than I would attempt. 
So yes, I made this for dinner that night. I cracked myself up, but he wasn’t too amused by it.
Anyway, my kids had fun with it. Cole was apprehensive at first and wasn’t going to eat it. Then I explained that Flamin’ Hot Cheetos have the same stuff in it. I got the evil eye, but then he ate it. Joe, on the other hand, embraced the weirdness factor. He not only ate it, but he got into the food coloring…
