Using my most awesome vintage neon paint sign letters and my friend Bob’s light painting toys (and one wool spin), we had a great time light painting.  I suppose that’s no surprise, as all light painting is fun.  Join me sometime.

The PAINT sign backstory

I found this BIG gem at the Treasures for Peace Thrift Store & Speed Dating place in Spring Hill, Florida, while searching for mermaids.  Seriously, you can’t make up stuff like this.  And, no, I did not do the speed dating.  My regular dates usually end faster than those anyway.  Okay, back to the sign.

Vintage Broken Neon Paint SignI’ve always wanted a large, vintage sign in my living room.  I really wanted a vintage motel sign with the smaller COLOR TV sign attached to it.  Not only could I not fit those in the house, they cost thousands of dollars.  This was a perfect alternate option, and only $100.  Including tax.

I have a Prius, and there was no way this sign was going to fit in the car.  Well, without some modification.  Taking the letters off of the ballast casing was the plan.  It worked!

paint-letters-on-the-wallI decided not to have these rewired and repaired, as I’d much rather be able to take them off the wall, play with them, then hang them back up.

Now, what to do on the boring blue wall?
