[item] Lots of mismatched socks
[purchase info] Purchased at different times, mostly on sale
[time in my possession] A few months up to years
[last used] Who really knows…
[difficulty level in getting rid of it] Medium, I think
[destination] I’m going to use these as rags for cleaning and dusting.
[info] I really struggle getting rid of these, as I keep thinking the matches will show up. And not that I’m opposed to wearing mismatched socks, but they need to be the same thickness and texture. Okay, it’s really time to get rid of some of these.
Since I use NO paper products in my home, I also do not throw out cloth that can be used for a messy job and then tossed. One more use…one more use… Why would you not save these for cleaning or give them to someone else. They can be used in the trunk as a rag to wipe oil off the dipstick, wipe hands on after an emergency or routine check of fluids, belts, or whatever. Wipe a gooey bug off the windshield. Tie a knot in one after rice or beans is inside and use it frozen or heated for sprains or for heat in the winter. Us any cloth you have for padding when moving.
I’m getting rid of some, but they are going to be used for similar things to your ideas. They will more than likely be paint rags in my art studio (also known as my garage), rags for dusting, cleaning the car, cleaning the bathrooms… Keep your ideas coming! I love them!
