18 hours in a car?  Not a problem for us!  Yeah, I would love to fly and get to my destination quickly, but I’m good with a road trip.  There’s more adventure in driving.  (Texas to northern Colorado)  I don’t have photos of all the beautiful sights along the way, but I have some.  God was showing off His beautiful art yesterday… lightning, rainbows, rain, sunshine, deserts, mountains, clouds, storms, trees, rocks, sand…

I really wish I’d stopped to get photos of the lightning, as it was amazing!!!  But I did get several other photos from the adventure part of the trip.  At some point, I’ll pull out my good camera.  All of the photos in this post were taken with my phone.

No, this wasn’t a restroom we needed to use, this was in an abandoned motel in West Texas.

I’ll refrain from all of the possible comments about the many things that are so very wrong about this sign.

I love all the small, retro motels.

Yes, planes are faster, but I’ll take the drive (adventure) instead.  I’m tired of being in a hurry, and I especially don’t want to hurry to my vacation and hurry home from it.  When is the last time you stopped the car and had an adventure instead of going straight to your destination?
